Sunday Outing with Le Bff

I had an awesome Sunday to end off the week.

I have not step out of house for a long time other than work. I was feeling so stressed at work and rushing to  meet deadlines for my assignments. So other than work, I just cope myself at home doing my assignments, watch videos and sleep. This has been going on for the past 3 weeks. Gosh, I'm turning into 宅女. Nothing to keep me looking forward to and I felt very demoralized.

This is a rather unhealthy lifestyle, I need a change in my mindset and I really need to learn how to relax myself.

Finally dragged myself out of house to meet some of my favourite people. Headed to Somerset to meet GF for flea shopping. We went back empty-handed as all the good stuffs have been snatched away. It was a short 1 hour meetup with GF and Joanne, gonna rushed off to my next outing.

Set off to Jun Hou's house!!!
Jessie and I were the first to reach JH's house, followed by Ye Chao.

The scenery of his house was beautiful, I love scenery that has sea view.

JH was nice, he has ordered KFC and Pizza Hut for us. We had a happy time feasting.

After our early dinner, it was darts time. That's the main reason why we came to his house. No longer need to go Safra to play darts. We left mash potato and pepsi cola that we couldn't finish, so the forfeit for the loser was to eat the mash potato or drink pepsi.

Playing dart makes us happy and lost track of time, we played for nearly one and the half hour. We paused to think of our next activity. Thought of catching a movie but rejected by Jessie, so Jun Hou suggested arcade at VivoCity. Lol, I haven't start into arcade for years I think.

Mandatory group photo before we left Jh's place.
From left to right: Jessie, me, Jun Hou and Ye Chao.

We had a joyful time playing all the games.
My favourite games were bumper cars and motorcycle racing.

After the games, we drove up to Mount Faber Safra for supper and chit chat. Just as we were talking, we realised that one of us has been very quiet throughout. YC has K.O. liao. Okay time was getting late, a signal to go home liao.

I love meeting up with these brunch of people, we enjoyed each other companions and never a boring moment coming across us. Doing simple things like having a meal together or playing darts make us feel happy satisfied. Cherish all these moments.

See you guys soon again.

Express Gelish Manciure at Soteria Face & Nail

I always want to try gelish manicure because I want a long lasting manicure. Therefore, when I received invitation to try out the services at Soteria Face & Nail, I immediately went for express gelish manicure. Going to enjoy my pampering session before the start of jubilee weekend.

Soteria Face & Nail  is located at Blk 203 Hougang street, walking distance from Kovan MRT station.
They provides a variety of services that includes facial, nail & waxing services. They also established Soteria Hair Studio that provides hair services which is just 2 units besides each other.

If you are living near the area and want to look for a good manicurist, you can give Soteria Face & Nail a try. Soteria is an award winning company who won Singapore Brand Award, Asia Pacific Brand Award, SME Asia Award, Queen Of Substance Award.

The Chandeliers enhanced the overall feel of a Victorian look of the place. Soteria looked really classy, never thought I will find such classy place in a neighbourhood estate.

Waiting for my turn.

Soteria also thoughtfully prepared  dessert for us. I particularly like the cake in a jar from Stay Home Mum Cafe.

There have a menu of different designs that you can choose from or you can suggest your own design by showing the manicurist a sample from your phone.

It took me quite awhile to decide the design I want because every design seems beautiful and there are so many designs that I want to try. I decided to go for floral design.

The manicurist started off by filing my nails to achieve the round shaping.

Gelish is a fantastic new soak-off product offering colour in a gel. Nails are maintenance free for approximately 2-3 weeks and they stay incredibly glossy. There is no damage to your nails during application. A base coat, 2 layers of colour and a top shiny coat are applied to give you a perfect finish.

Soteria offers a wide range of colour for us to choose. They carry various brand of nail products, like Harmony,Artistic,OPI, Nfu-Oh,Jacqueline Burchell,I Gel (From Korea). I opt for the classic black.

The manicurist was really patient and meticulous. She ensured that my nails were well painted and the floral design were nicely drawn.

After painting each nail, I was supposed to put my hand into the ultraviolet nail lamps to dry the nails fast.
Thanks CK for helping me to take photo and waiting for me to finish my manicure.

For lady wearing dress, skirt or short, you will be given a towel to cover.

The end product. Simple and classic. I like it very much.
Pretty nails for the next 2 weeks.

Soteria also prepared a candle making session for all of us. So after my manicure, CK and I went to customize our candle.

I created a seaside concept candle with sea shells in it.

Thanks Engel for the invitation to this pampering session. I really enjoyed the services and warm hospitality. I will love to come back again.

Do check out their website on the array of services they provide - http://www.soteria.com.sg/

To The Fore (破风) Gala Premiere with Dante Lam and Choi Siwon

Director Dante Lam and Choi Siwon were in town to make an appearance for 'To The Fore' Gala Premiere in Singapore.

This is a movie that I have been wanting to watch ever since I watched the trailer because Choi Siwon and Eddie Peng are in the movie. Therefore, I was super elated when I know I won a pair of tickets to the gala premiere.

Met up with Tingwen for the movie.
Before the start of the movie, Director Dante Lam and Choi Siwon was at the gala premiere stage for promotional activities.

So happy to see Siwon again, he is one of my favourite male artist in Korea and my favourite member in Super Junior.

I was amazed by Siwon's ability to communicate with the fans in English and Mandarin through the fanmeet. The only korean word he used was annyeonghaseyo because the fans greeted him in korean. Impressive!

The casts really put in lots of efforts for the filming, they had to undergo a rigorous cycling and workout daily.

They had also travelled to many countries and cities for filming: Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, Shanghai and etc.

Siwon has promised that if the box office in Singapore is good, he will come back to Singapore again to pop the champagne with everyone.

Time for the movie after that.
To The Fore is Asia's first cycling- themed movie, It will take viewers to an exciting ride through adrenaline-packed cycling races mix of speed, endurance and tactics , heart-stopping crashes, that can leave one glued to the screen.

Rating: 4/5
Release date: 6/8/2015
Running time: 125 minutes

To The Fore is an action packed movie featuring cycling races, unlike the usual car racing. A sports-romance movie by Dante Lam that focuses on the friendships and love lives of four friends.

Representing Team Radiant, Ji won (Choi Siwon), Chou Ming (Eddie Peng) and Qiu Tian (Shawn Dou) entered a cycling competition.

Ji won is the sprinter of the team, known as 冲线手.  As the name suggested, he is always the one who will finish the race due to his ability to accelerate high speed. Sprinter is also the one who will be standing at the award ceremony platform to receive the trophy.

Chou Ming and Qiu Tian are the two lead-outs of the team, known as 破风手. They prevent the sprinter from being attacked by others and lead out sprinter for the dash in the last few hundred meter.

Due to financial issues, team Radiant was dismissed and each of them went over to join different teams. Ji-won, Chou Ming and Qiu Tian have become sprinter in their teams and create a competition against each other.

Another part I enjoyed is the romance between Chou Ming and Wang Shiyao (Wang Luodan). Shiyao is also a cyclist from a girl team. Both of them devleoped feelings for one another and went into a relationship. Feeling frustrated due to some issues, Chou Ming went drinking and was drunk. He then have one-night stand with someone else. Shiyao parted with him upon finding out. Chou Ming did a selfless act that touched Shiyao and they were together again.

Qiu Tian was having a torch for Shiyao too.
Aww, it's a love triangle.

This is really a movie worth watching. It is not only just on cycling competition, it is about friendship, love and passion for dream.

Beauty Review: Esemtan Wash Lotion and Skin Balm

Do you know that almost a million people in Singapore suffer dry and itchy skin?

This has something to do with the environment we live in - air-conditioning, harsh sun and humidity. We need to find a body cleanser that works for our skin types.

I was introduced to Esemtan bodycare that is suitable for normal, dry and sensitive skin. Esemtan is also widely used in leading hospitals by health professionals every day because it is extremely gentle, refreshing and hygienic. Suitable for both male and female.

The two products that I am sharing with you today are Esemtan Wash Lotion and Esemtan Skin Balm.

Esemtan Wash Lotion

Esemtan Wash Lotion is a multi-purpose lotion. It can be used for the whole body, face and hair, for all skin types, for the skin of babies and old people. I even use it to wash my hands too. It offers a complete washing experience from head to toe, protecting the skin against irritation and supports the skin’s natural moisture.

Featuring a balanced combination of fragrance and a gentle lather, this soapless wash is effective in removing dirt and oil from skin. With Allantoin, it is pH neutral for the skin and soap free, suitable for sensitive and stressed skin.

Soap-free cleansers work on your skin the same way as soap, but they're made of milder ingredients that do not deplete skin's oils.

Retail price: $19.75/500ml

Used it like a soap or shower lotions while taking shower.

Froth it by adding some water. Wash thoroughly, rinse & dry. You can use it for shower or hand washing too.

My review:

My skin feel soft after showering with Esemtan Wash Lotion. It has a very light scent that makes me feeling refreshing. The lotion lathered well and it can be rinsed off easily. Felt clean after the wash and it does not dry my skin. I think it's really worth the price. $19.75 for a bottle of 500ml, I can use it for a long time.

Esemtan Skin Balm

Esemtan skin balm is suitable for daily hand and body care for all skin types including children's skin. It permeates deeply into the skin with oil-in water emulsion, supports and cares for the skin to protect it from drying.

It contains added urea as a moisturising agent and speed up skin cell renewal. It also helps to reduce skin irritation and itch. Besides that, Esemtan skin balm also comes with mild soothing fragrance, to allow users with dry & sensitive skin to enjoy a soothing touch of fragrance.

Retail price: $20/500ml

To apply Esemtan Skin Balm after the wash,
Recommended to use daily, morning and evening after each wash.

My review:

Unlike the usual cream based body lotion, Esemtan Skin Balm has a gel-like texture that is fast absorbed into skin. It does not leave sticky feeling after that. The light fragrance skin balm leave my skin feeling hydrated, moisturised and soft. The skin balm is very useful especially when we keep staying in air-conditioned room, my skin tend to get really dry. So after applying, it gives me protection  against the cold air and air-conditioning filter.

Esemtan Wash Lotion and Skin Balm can be found at Guardian, Unity, Watsons, Independent pharmacy (Pink beauty, Beauty essential), NHG.

For Esemtan Wash Lotion, it is available in 2 sizes: 500ml for $19.75 and 1L for $35.30.
Esemtan Skin Balm is retailing at $20/500ml.

Thank you for reading, hope you find this product review useful (:
