Happy 75th Birthday to Granny

This year, Granny's birthday fall on Friday.
We celebrated her birthday on that Friday night at Boon Lay Raja Restaurant. We have a sumptuous dinner to welcome our long waited weekend.

My uncle booked a V.I.P room for us so that we have a private space all by ourselves. Boon Lay Raja Restaurant is definitely not a foreign place for us, we have been there many times for birthday celebration or mother's day lunch.

With our first dish - Longetivity Peach, being served at 7.48pm. I was really hungry by then, should have eat something at home before making my way down.

The cold dish was served in a dragon boat plate.
So interesting. I jokingly told my cousin that I want to bring this home, so next time they come my house, I will serve them the food using this dragon boat plate.

Braised Shark's Fin Soup with sea treasures. The soup was flavoursome and thick.

My elder cousin who is still young at heart.

We got a roasted pig all to ourselves. I know it was sinful but I love the skin so much, it was crispy good.

Baby Aiden disliked sitting still in the pram, he needed someone to carry him throughout unless he was asleep. Poor cousin and cousin-in-law have to take turn to look after him.

Steamed Sea Red Garoupa in Hong Kong Style.
The fish meat was tender but be careful, it has lots of bones in it.

Cluster sliced roasted duck with assorted fresh fruits.
Every dish was delicious.

Sliced abalone, fish maw and dried scallop with spinach.

This was cooked using the remaining body parts of the pig that we did not touch. Basically, we only ate the skin of the pig previously.

Our room also has karaoke. Kheng Loon start the ball rolling.

Our 9th dish, fried prawn ball with cereal and salted egg york.
This was my favourite of all.  Love it especially when the shells were already peeled for us.

Fried noodles with seafood.
Hmm, I must say we ate lots of seafood that night.

Chili crab!!!!

Finally our last dish, sweet yam paste with gingko nut.
Wow, we just had a 12 course dinner. Feeling full and satisfied.

The total bill for 2 tables add up to $1,900++. Each year, my uncles, aunt and my dad will take turn to pay for the expenses for my granny's birthday. This time round, it was my uncle's turn. Thanks Uncle for the treat.

My dad thought he was some rich man. You know why?
Because he gave a $50 tips to a waiter who served in our room. I think it is way too much, $5 or $10 will be more than enough. If he thinks he has so much money, he should have give it to me man. *angry*

We were the last customer in the restaurant, shall quickly proceed for cake cutting.

Happy 75th Birthday to Granny.
Wish you a healthy, long life filled with happiness and joy. I love you always.

The cake was really delicious and sweet to my liking. Thanks Vivian's sis for buying the cake for grandma (:

Beauty Review: Bio-essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask

Sponsored Product

Bio-essence is one of my favourite skincare brands that I have used because the products always keep my skin hydrated.

I have just received a product from Bio-essence for trying out. So I am here to share with you girls the review of the product:

Bio-essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask.

The name tri-action has already indicate that the sleeping mask has 3 actions: Hydrate, Nourish, and Protect.

This unique formulation is enriched with 2 types of Hyaluronic acid (Power Nano Hyaluronic Acid & Hyaluronic Acid) which provides long lasting hydration and effectively lock in moisture, while Cranberry Extract provides excellent conditioning of the skin for a healthy glow and protects skin from environmental factors.

With these ingredients, Bio-essence Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask will replenish moisture level, nourish and repair our skin non-stop while we sleep.

Many women in Singapore faced skin problems such as dull looking skin, enlarge pores, rough skin, outbreak and oily skin. This occurs because our skin is lack of moisture. Hence, it is important to keep our skin moisturized.

With the application of Bio-essence sleeping mask, it combats 4 common skin problems:
- Brightens Dull & Tired Skin
- Regulates Oil & Moisture Level
- Moisturizes Dry & Rough Skin
- Refines Enlarged Pores

Bio-essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask has dual usage. It can be used as a daily moisturizer or a sleeping mask.

Apply a thin layer over skin as a daily moisturiser. For more intensive treatment, apply a thicker layer to replenish skin’s moisture throughout the night as a sleeping mask.

I applied the sleeping mask every night before I went to bed.
The texture was light and watery. Massage gently till aqua droplets form.

The Sleeping Beauty Mask is made with the unique Bio Aqua Crystal Technology. This technology forms a protective shield over the hydrating ingredients to prevent moisture loss before application. Isn't this cool?

Upon application, this shield breaks away and big aqua droplets are formed. This ensures our skin gets hydrated with the freshest and most optimal amount of hydrating activity.

Can you see the aqua droplets form?
Amazing right?

I did it on my hand too to show you the water droplets.

The big aqua droplets are made up of superior hydrating ingredients of small molecular sizes which allow moisture and nutrients to be easily delivered to the deepest layers of skin, while the protective emollient film remains on the skin to lock in moisture for non-stop hydration.

After which, gently pat till the gel was fully absorbed into skin.

My review:

The sleeping mask has a nice fruity scent that I like very much. The texture was light and watery, my skin feel hydrated and supple after the application. It does not leave any greasy feeling. By the next morning, I could feel my skin was refreshing and not as oily as I was usually.

Usually when I applied makeup, there will be lots of white flakes appearing on my skin which is very annoying. After using the sleeping mask, I noticed there is a visible drop in the appearance of white flakes.

Bio-essence Hydra Tri-Action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask can be found at Watsons & leading departmental stores.

Girls Outing to Trick Eye Museum at Resort World Sentosa

It's been quite awhile since we last have our girls outing. Hence, Claressa gathered all of us an outing to Trick Eye Museum at Resort World Sentosa. I always wanted to visit Trick Eye Museum since it ventured into Singapore. Thanks Claressa for the ticket.

Trick Eye Museum is originated from Korea. The museum becomes increasingly popular with increasing number of visitors every year since its first launch in 2010. Locals and tourists just love it.

Trick Eye comes from the word Trick of the eye. It refers to an art technique that turns 2D paintings into 3D images. Through the use of optical illusions, three-dimensional paintings on the surfaces of the museum walls, floors and ceilings come alive.

The museum features 100 artworks including paintings and sculptures. Step inside the paintings and complete a visual narrative with your creative pose.

The museum has a total of six interactive zones that cover the themes of World of Masterpieces, Safari Kingdom, Star of Circus, Dreams of Fairy Tale, Love in Winter and Adventure Discovery.

Zone 1: World of Masterpieces

Be part of renowned Western masterpieces from French. Touch these amazing creations, strike a pose, “interact” with the characters and become the subject of the paintings.

Dancing to Latin dance, Tango.
As we tango to the left, as we tango to the right.

Linda and I appeared in the portrait together with Mona Lisa. And I got a forehead kiss from here.

With my prince charming.

Time for picnic.

Here's how Paris Street looked like on a rainy day. The umbrella was attached to the wall.

I was locked up by the giant baby. This giant baby sculpture is a new exhibit in Trick Eye Museum. This was not showcased in Korea.

Thanks Jasmine for the portrait.

Thanks GF for the photo with panda.

Let me show you how to sit in the air.
My levitation has reached a new level.

Zone 5: Love in Winter
