Nuffnang Lovin' x Freeing SG

Not long ago, I got myself hooked to the mobile game "Can You Escape". It is quite a fun and addictive game where we have to find clues and solve the puzzle in order to break out of the rooms.

And now, I have the chance to play the room escape game in reality at Freeing SG located at Bugis+.

Based on the popular “Freeing HK” model, Freeing SG gives players the experience of a lifetime as they rack their brains to escape a “real-life” situation. Inspired by virtual “Escape Room” video games and web-based browser games, Freeing SG takes the experience further by immersing players in a physical reality to solve puzzles first hand.

Freeing SG aims to add a new dimension to a Singaporean entertainment scene dominated by movies and shopping. Four to eight players are stuck in a locked room or location where their only way out is to search for clues, solve puzzles and uncover secrets within a given time limit. Say goodbye to mindless amusement – players will really need their wits about them!

Catch a glimpse of the game over here.

I was here for the challenge together with the other Nuffies. A group photo before the start of the challenge.

Presenting to you my awesome group: Zed, Candy, Peiwen, Jaslyn, me and Jiahui.
We were feeling confidence before heading to our room.

So happy to see the girls again.

With Candy and Peiwen.
I love friends who like taking photos just like me (:\

We were being brief about the mission that we got to complete:

Your friend went disappeared during his research in the Tomb of Pharaoh. You’ve decided to explore the mysterious tomb and enter the pyramid by knocking over every obstacles. You realised that danger is hidden everywhere. Are you ready to unveil the truth of your friend’s disappearing mystery…

This was how the surrounding in our first room looked like. We have to find clues from here and get us to the next door.

We have 45 minutes to solve the mystery.
Ready, get set, go!

At any point of time in this 45 minutes, we can press the alarm button to ask for help and clue will be given. This help button can only be used once.

The first door is always the easiest one, we solved it within 5 minutes. However, it gets harder and harder as we proceed. It really required us to crack our brains and make use of the clues we gathered. We did not managed to solve the mystery, but we were real close to solving it.

It was a really good game and we have fun trying it. It fostered teamwork and bonded our team close together with everyone working towards one common goal. The game also encouraged creative thinking,  I think our group tried all sort of ways to find the clues.
