Majestic Bay Seafood Restaurant at Garden By The Bay

Nestled at Garden by the Bay, Majestic Bay Seafood Restaurant is the newest venture for award-winning Chef Yong Bing Ngen. Being his first seafood restaurant, Chef Yong has combined new innovations and classic favourites in the menu.

Majestic Bay is definitely the perfect locale for seafood indulgence with your family, friends and corporate partners.

Majestic Bay is located below the Flower Dome, the restaurant is inspired by the luxurious waterfront views of Marina Bay.

The design of the restaurant seeks to make the most of the impressive waterfront view of the Marina Bay, taking on nautical references in its design. The setting is reminiscent of a ship deck, with its modern palette of relaxing neutral tones, light oak floors, and a feature wall of round mirror portholes. The corporate colour of aquamarine further accentuates the water theme.

Majestic Bay has a seating capacity of 110. The design of the restaurant make me feeling cosy and at ease, it is a great dining place for family and group dining.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were being welcome by the freshest sea treasures that were in the live water tank. this allows customers to select their catch of the day before it is freshly prepared for them.

Looking for a private area that is quiet and cozy?

A private room is available for booking for intimate gatherings or birthday celebration of up to 14 guests.

I had a healthy and tasty Green Apple Juice.

Without any further ado, let's begin the dinner proper:

Trio prawns combo - Salad dressing/ wasabi mayo/ lemon butter milk sauce.

三味虾球 - 沙拉酱/芥末酱/奶柠酱

Price: $38 for 4pax

I love the flavourful pairing of the prawns. It leave me craving for more that I wouldn't reject if there is second plate. Salad dressing sauce is my favourite of all. It is rich in taste and mouth watering.

This is my first time trying wasabi prawn. Initially I was quite reluctant to try it as I'm not a fan of wasabi. But after the first bite, I find that the taste is still okay (not as bad as what I think). Wow, this is rather a unique dish.

Soup of the day  - Lotus Root Soup

瓦煲老火汤

Price: $18 for 2-4 pax
          $27 for 5-8 pax

The lotus root soup is appetizing and nourishing, no msg is being added in it. I could taste the goodness in it. This is a healthy soup that my family will have for dinner every week. The soup requires 6 hours of cooking to absorb the flavour and nutrition.

Are you feeling heaty right now? Perhaps you need a bowl of lotus root soup.

Steamed, Su Dan fish, rice broth, “Teochew” style.

潮式粥水蒸苏丹鱼

Upon the first bite, I'm in love with the softness and tastiness of the meat. The soup is soaked with the essence of the fish and is full of flavour, there is no need to dip it with soy sauce. The fish is so fresh and I am pleased with the high quality dish. But there is one thing I would like to point out, be please careful when consuming the dish as there are lots of tiny bones in it.

Live crabs, Bay’s signature “Kopi” sauce.

冠华咖啡焗肉蟹

The signature "Kopi" Crab is the main highlight of the night. This is a uniquely Singapore dish inspired by Chef Yong Bing Ngen's love for coffee and it is currently the only restaurant that served Kopi Crab. The crab is cooked with a special sauce made from a blend of 3 different varieties of coffee beans. Apple jam, a small portion of marmalade and orange juice are used in the Kopi Crab sauce to create an extra burst of fragrance.

When the crab was flambeed with rice wine and coffee liqueur, our table was immediately filled with the strong aroma of coffee. The kopi crab has got a rich taste of caramel and coffee with the sweetness done to perfection. I must say the dish is innovative, I have never thought of such combination before. It is definitely worth giving a try, your meal at Majestic Bay will not be complete with it

Sautéed, bamboo clams, water spinach, sambal chilli.

竹蚌马来风光

Price: $16 for 2-4 pax
         $24 for 5-8 pax

Sambal water spinach is my favourite vegetables dish, I will never failed to order this is any restaurant. Simply love the sambal taste.

Baked rice, assorted seafood, chef’s recipe sauce.

海鲜大烩焗饭

Price: $68 for 4-6 pax
           $88 for 7-12 pax

This is another recommended order when you visit Majestic Bay. This was inspired by a popular Portuguese dish Chef Yong sampled in Macau. The baked rice was made with quality ingredients like baby abalones, plump scallops, mussels and prawns, topped with a spice cream sauce and baked with mozzarella cheese to form a fragrant crust.

The baked rice was infused with Japanese Curry and it tasted heavenly delicious. I am already missing it.
The rice had been fried before baking it, this was why I could taste the crispiness in the rice.

Sweet’s temptation

甜品诱惑

Price: $20 for 4 pax

A sweet end to the meal. We had the dessert platter which consist of Pancake with Red Bean Paste, Steamed Custard Buns with Salted Egg Yolk, Black Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Yam Paste Stuffing and Shredded Coconut, and Glutinous Rice Dumpling with Fresh Cream Stuffing.

Black Glutinous Rice Dumpling was wrapped with Pulau Hitam and Yam Paste in it. It was rich in flavour.

The Mochi with Fresh Cream was candy sweet.

Pancake with Red Bean Paste was my second favourite, it was yummy good.

My favourite of all was Steamed Custard Buns with Salted Egg Yolk. The custard bun was caught in the middle of sweetness and salty. I loved it so much, especially when the filling came flowing out when you bite it - the fusion of salted egg yolk with the bun. It's mouthwatering!!!

Are you already drooling, check out the restaurant now.
