The NANDO’S Chickenland Getaway

Begin my Saturday by attending the Nando's Chickenland Getaway at Nando's brand new outlet located at Tampines Mall. I have a jolly good time at Nando's food tasting with a group of blogger friends where we taste the Nando's platters with the famous flame-grilled chicken and their secretly blended Peri-Peri sauces that have delighted millions of people worldwide.

Without further ado, let me take you through our Chickenland Getaway with Nando's:


Nando's is orginated from South Africa. Peri-Peri is the heart and soul of Nando’s. It began centuries ago, when Portuguese explorers were looking to add a little spice to their meals, and they started adding this fiery ingredient into their cuisines.

Today, in Singapore, Peri-Peri is available in these flavours: Lemon & Herb, Mild, Hot, Extra Hot.


Nando's is now reaching out to the heart and stomachs of more Singaporeans with the opening of 2 brand new outlets at Tampines Mall and 112 Katong this festive season. Both outlets are designed in South African hospitality to provide all customers an enjoyable dining experience.

A refreshing mixtures that resemble cocktails.


I especially love the Madeira Red.
A sweet, fizzy, pomegranate lemonade made with sprite. I wonder if you can see, the top of the glass are finiwshed with a deliciously sugarly rim.

Falling in love with the sweetness of the drink, one sip and I love it. Gonna admit that I have got a sweet tooth.
Wild Mushroom Soup and Bread.
Delicious mushroom soup that served with surprise zest of peri-peri sauce.
The soup is thick and creamy. Moreover, it is super rich in taste, making it perfect.

Next up is Chicken Livers & Portuguese Roll.
Flame-seared Chicken Liver serving with mild peri-peri gravy. Lets dig the Portuguese Roll into the gravy now!

The mild flavour seemsl just right for me. It satisfies my appetite.


The hot peri-peri flavour is good as well, the HOT spice up all our appetite.

Here comes the Peri-fect Platters.
Great heap of food and good messy fun.

The flame-grilled chicken with mild peri-peri sauce is no doubt a good combination. The chicken is rich in sauce and very tender. I'm enjoying the mild flavour now.

Check out this cool dish - Espetada.
The marinated chicken thighs with fresh peppers, flame-grilled are being served on a skewer.


It comes along with 2 sidelines of your choice.


We tried the one with extra hot peri-peri sauce.

And we go like "Woooo!" It's really extra extra hot and spicy. If you enjoy spicy food, you will enjoy the burning sensation lingering at your tastebuds.


Next up - Cataplana.

Another unique dish served in a traditional copper dish with chicken strips, ripe tomatoes and spice rice filled in it.
Aww, we got the extra hot peri-peri sauce. Stand by our drinks.


Nando's flamed-grilled Chicken.
The meat is juicy. Every mouth tastes delicious.


Peri Wedges & Creamy Perinaise.
The golden brown potatoes wedges are toppled with Peri-Sprinkle and Perinaise!

Needless to say how delicious it is. I love potato wedges, just the sight of it make me drool.....

Finally came dessert time:

Natas (egg tart look alike). A traditional Portunguese pastry topped with zesty custard.
Initially at the sight of it, I thought it is egg tart. I'm hooked on to it.

Caramel Cheesecake. Muscovado sugar smothered in rich and creamy caramel. Love the sweetness.

Chocolate Cruch Roll. The melted milk choclate is mixed with biscults. It taste pretty good. Awesome for chocolate lovers as it is rich in chocolate.

Lighten Up Chocolate Cake. It is light and airy, like a cloud of chocolate that melts in your mouth.


Cuppuccino goes well with dessert.
